  • Indoor bootcamp

Held at Mitchell these are fast paced, challenging training sessions using bodyweight, free weights, ropes, kettlebells and many other pieces of equipment to supercharge your results. Your trainer is also able to scale all movements to cater for beginners, injuries or weaknesses.

  • Outdoor bootcamp

Held at Lake Burley Griffin these are fast paced, challenging training sessions using bodyweight, free weights, ropes, kettlebells and many other pieces of equipment to supercharge your results. Sessions run rain, hail or shine and you get to enjoy the fresh Canberra air. Your trainer is also able to scale all movements to cater for beginners, injuries or weaknesses.

  • Indoor and outdoor boxFit

Fast paced cardio boxing for beginners to advanced. The focus of these sessions is fitness boxing. We’re not training you to be in the ring so expect to be throwing a lot of punches and getting a sweat on!

  • Pilates

Many types of people, at many levels of fitness, who have begun doing Pilates say they've seen improvements in range of motion, flexibility, circulation, posture, and abdominal strength and decreases in back, neck and joint pain. 

Pilates will provide you with an increased physical awareness of how you sit, stand and move. It will enable you to correct your bad habits and reduce aches, pains and injuries.  Correcting weakness of the postural muscles and increasing flexibility are vital to many people - particularly for people who remain seated for long periods of time at work.  With a focus on core conditioning Pilates doesn't just work your extremities - it provides a firm foundation which is important for all bodies.

Pilates is a body conditioning routine that helps build flexibility and long, lean muscles, it increases strength and endurance in the legs, abdominals, arms, hips and back. It puts emphasis on spinal and pelvic alignment, breathing to relieve stress and allow adequate oxygen flow to muscles, developing a strong core or centre (tones abdominals while strengthening the back), and improving coordination and balance. Pilates’ flexible system allows for different exercises to be modified in range of difficulty from beginners to advanced. Intensity can be increased over time as the body conditions and adapts to the exercises. No muscle group is under or over trained. It enhances core strength and brings increased reach, flexibility and agility.

  • Mums with Bubs

Feel safe in the knowledge that you’re training with specialist trainers who hold pre and post- natal qualifications. Designed for ladies who are 3 months or more post-natal these classes allow new mums, stay at home mums or mums with children at home to get active, get fit and be challenged. Canberra Fitness Centre has a dedicated children’s area where your children can see you and you can see your children. Exercising with other friendly mums facing the same challenges you are is a great way to get back into fitness in a family environment where you will be supported while being challenged.
